Instructors


  • Dr. Michael Gaylor is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the management of nonprofit organizations. He has served as Executive Director of All Faiths Receiving Home and helped that organization grow to become one of our nation's most respected social service organizations. He has also served as Director, Office of Institutional Advancement and as President of Menaul School, a private, college preparatory school founded in 1881. Currently, Dr. Gaylor serves as the Senior Director of Leadership for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce.


  • Ms. Sophie Martin, MBA, is the president of the New Mexico Advertising Federation and Albuquerque Managing Director of the National Dance Institute of New Mexico. Sophie has placed media for the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, UNM Anderson School of Management, Los Angeles Opera, Santa Fe Art Institute, Popejoy Hall, and The College of Santa Fe. She has been named twice to the New Mexico Business Weekly's "40 Under Forty" list is a founding blogger of DukeCityFix.com, named a Top 10 community blog in the U.S. by PlaceBlogger.com.


  • Dr. Leslie Oakes, is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Anderson School of Management. She is doing research on the social role of accounting, accounting for nonprofit organizations and the history of accounting. She has consulted and taught courses on performance evaluation, cost-benefit analysis, and economic measurement issues and is on the editorial review boards of two journals, Critical Perspectives on Accounting and The Accounting Forum.


  • Ms. Wendy Shannon, SPHR has over 20 years of experience in the management and human resources fields and is the owner of Human Resources Works, LLC, a consulting company that specializes in all areas of human resources and management training. She has extensive experience dealing with hospitals, banks, call centers and high-tech companies. She has facilitated the SHRM Learning System for five years and has served as a consultant to more than 25 clients specializing in compensation, training, and performance management.


  • Ms. Lynn Trojahn has a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Colgate University and a master's degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management. Lynn has been in the fundraising field for 21 years in the Bay Area and now Albuquerque, her hometown.
    Lynn was at Bosque School as Director of Advancement in charge of fundraising and public affairs for almost 6 years before starting as Vice President of Advancement at Accion New Mexico. In her time at Bosque School, over $12 million was raised. Over the last 8 months at ACCION, $1,250,000 has been generated for endowment and operating programs to forward the exceptional microlending work of ACCION throughout 144 communities in New Mexico.


  • Dr. Bruce Winchell is a Director for Technology Ventures Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. His corporate law practice includes forming many 501(c)(3) nonprofit companies for small private groups and for large companies. He formed Technology Ventures Corporation. He has served as corporate secretary for many nonprofit companies and as their corporate counsel. He has taught many corporate and business law topics for several law schools and MBA programs.
