J.Kelly Byram, MBA, MS
J. Kelly Byram, MS, MBA, is CEO of Duke City Consulting, LLC, a strategic consulting firm specializing in R&D funding development and IP commercialization and protection. The firm’s consultants work with clients in a variety of industries, but Kelly focuses on the healthcare and tech industries and enjoys working with start-ups.
Kelly currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Mexico chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (New Mexico Healthcare Executives) and serves as the chapter’s Immediate Past President. Previously, Kelly served in a number of roles at the University of New Mexico’s Health Sciences Center, and she established its grantsmanship training program. Prior to coming to New Mexico, Kelly was on the faculty of the University of Florida, on the staff of the McKnight Brain Institute, and was a consultant in the pharmaceutical industry. She has also worked outside the healthcare industry, including positions with Princeton University, Lucent Technologies, Merrill Lynch, and a number of tech start-ups in the NYC and Princeton areas.
Kelly is from Princeton, NJ. She earned a BA from Indiana University, an MS from the University of Florida, and an MBA from the University of New Mexico. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society and serves on the general board of the Albuquerque Academy.
